Six Sigma Leadership
Five Days, Instructor Led, Pre-Work and Post-Work
An intensive five-day workshop that focuses on the leader’s role in maximizing opportunities for change. This workshop provides the knowledge and skill development you need to maximize the value of a Six Sigma implementation throughout the organization. Focus of workshop is on the skills and competencies of a change leader, including the development of a personal vision/mission, collaborative problem solving, strategic alignment, peer coaching and performance management. Workshop modules include creating identity, building relationships, influencing others, group decision making processes, consulting skills, creating a learning environment, coaching and mentoring and leading innovation.
Participants will gain self-awareness and insight and will increase their ability to lead change in their organizations by considering the impact and dynamics of change from three separate vantage points (self, team and organization). This workshop also integrates the tools of quality improvement and Six Sigma into the approach for leading change and provides a range of job aids and reference tools for participants to use and apply in their day-to-day job. Both pre-work and post-work are included to ensure that participants are fully supported as they learn and practice new skills.
This highly interactive workshop incorporates conceptual models and frameworks, reflection learning activities, experiential exercises, job aids and application planning activities. Participants leave the session with a clear understanding of how to introduce and lead change across the organization, as well as an array of tools and techniques for providing leadership in changing times. To achieve certification, participants complete an application white paper/project that documents the experience of implementing the concepts and tools learned in the workshop.
This course can be taken independently or as part of our Black Belt or Master Black Belt Certification program(s).
