Harrison Street Real Estate Capital, LLC is a real estate private equity firm that was founded in 2005.  As of September 2010 the firm currently owns or has under development approximately $2.1 billion in real estate assets which includes over 14,500 student housing beds, 4,000 senior housing / assisted living units, over 60,900 self-storage units, 2,800 marina berths and 855,000 sq. ft. of net rentable medical office space.  Our properties are located in 33 states providing significant diversification to our limited partners.

The Company has launched a series of focused real estate funds targeting properties that consumers in qualified demographic locations will use not only in good economic climates, but even during inflationary, recessionary and/or general office overcapacity cycles too.  Harrison Street Real Estate Capital positions its consolidated and geographically diversified portfolios for strategic alignment with the larger aggregators of such properties.

Between Harrison Street Real Estate Partners I, L.P. and Harrison Street Real Estate Partners II, L.P., the firm has raised approximately $700 million of capital from over 60 limited partners including:

Over 80% of outside capital comes from Institutional sources.

Harrison Street Real Estate Partners III, L.P. has launched with the first closing on June 7, 2010 at $165 million.  Second close anticipated 3Q10 and final close in 4Q10.
