Alaina McVey
Ms. McVey is a Business Improvement Generalist and Certified Six Sigma Green Belt within Harrison Street Services, a team designed to work directly with Harrison Street's partners and investors to optimize operations and performance. Within this role Ms. McVey provides project management, assesses and implements business improvement processes, and ensures project long-term viability. In addition, Ms. McVey is a Six Sigma Green Belt Coach, providing ongoing training and support to Six Sigma Green Belt Candidates within Harrison Street University. Beyond these responsibilities, Ms. McVey helps measure and improves customer satisfaction programs, provides training on business improvement tools and assists with guest speaker presentations. Preceding this role, Ms. McVey was in the acquisitions group of Harrison Street Real Estate where she was responsible for the underwriting and closing of transactions.
Prior to joining Harrison Street Real Estate Capital, Ms. McVey was an Associate within RBS Greenwich Capital’s Real Estate Finance division. In that role, she was responsible for underwriting, analyzing property and investment structures, creating credit presentations and closing both fixed and floating rate transactions. Before joining RBS Greenwich, Ms. McVey was a Commercial Loan Officer within LaSalle Bank’s National Institutional Commercial Real Estate Finance division. Ms. McVey’s real estate expertise covers a range of property types which in addition to specialty assets include, retail, hospitality, mixed-use, industrial and multi-family.
Ms. McVey received her B.A. from Michigan State University with a major in Finance. She is active within the Chicago Real Estate Council, the Urban Land Institute, CREW, and is a member of the Michigan State Alumni Association. She is also a mentor within the Daniel Murphy Scholarship Fund, a program that provides scholarships and academic support services to economically disadvantaged Chicago youth.
