Mr. Denekas is the Director of Financial Accounting and Reporting for Harrison Street Real Estate Capital, LLC.  He is responsible for all financial reporting, treasury and accounting processes of the firm and its funds.  Mr. Denekas coordinates the property-level reporting requirements from investment venture partners and management companies, and is responsible for ensuring reporting compliance to fund investors including annual year-end audits and tax filings.

Prior to joining Harrison Street Real Estate Capital, Mr. Denekas was the Vice President of Portfolio Accounting at Capri Capital Advisors, LLC, a real estate advisory firm where he oversaw the accounting and treasury functions for real estate and mezzanine loan investment portfolios, primarily reporting to institutional investors.  Mr. Denekas began his career as a staff accountant at Deloitte & Touche, LLP working on clients in the financial and manufacturing industries.

Mr. Denekas received a B.A. in Mathematics from Dartmouth College and a dual Masters in Accountancy / M.B.A. from Northeastern University.
