Mr. Pessis is an Portfolio Manager for Harrison Street Real Estate Capital, LLC responsible for monitoring the investment performance, primarily as the firm’s self storage sector specialist. Mr. Pessis manages relationships with the firm’s existing operating partners that encompass in excess of 43,000 self storage units and 4,700,000 net rentable square feet in various markets throughout the United States. In addition, he oversees the firm’s boat storage portfolio consisting of approximately 3,000 slips located in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Iowa, and Texas. Lastly, Mr. Pessis plays a key role in the acquisitions process by evaluating potential acquisitions and developments.

Prior to joining Harrison Street Real Estate Capital, Mr. Pessis was the senior analyst at one of the largest privately-held firms specializing in financing operators of skilled nursing and other healthcare related facilities. He was responsible for the oversight of the 150 asset portfolio and was involved in excess of $150 million worth of acquisitions and financings. Before entering the real estate industry, Mr. Pessis was a commercial banking officer at The Northern Trust Company.

In 2002, Mr. Pessis received a B.S. in Business Administration with concentrations in both Finance and International Studies from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.
