Mr. Pessis is a Vice President in the asset management group for Harrison Street Real Estate Capital, LLC. Elliot is the firm's self storage specialist and in that capacity he has overseen the operations of 7.0 million square feet of self storage as well as 1.2 million square feet of self storage development/redevelopment. Additionally, Mr. Pessis is responsible for the oversight of a number of the firm's senior housing, student housing, and medical office properties located in markets throughout the United States. Elliot also works with the acquisitions professionals to evaluate and underwrite new investment opportunities.

Prior to joining Harrison Street Real Estate Capital, Mr. Pessis was the senior analyst at one of the largest privately-held firms specializing in financing operators of skilled nursing and other healthcare-related facilities. Before entering the real estate industry, Elliot was a commercial banking officer at The Northern Trust Company.

Mr. Pessis graduated from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business with a Bachelor of Science in Business and a double major in Finance and International Studies. Elliot is a member of the Self Storage Association.
