Mr. Lansing is the Portfolio Manager for the firm's open end, Core fund. In this role, he supervises all aspects of the firm's Core business and the team dedicated to the core strategy including investment strategy, deal sourcing and selection, asset management, accounting, investor reporting, capital raising and research. Mr. Lansing will also actively participate in a New Product Development Committee in order to identity new areas of growth for the firm.

Prior to joining Harrison Street Real Estate Capital, Mr. Lansing was the Chief Operating Officer for ORG Portfolio Management, an institutional real estate consulting firm with more than $8 billion of client assets on which it advises. Before ORG, Mr. Lansing was a Senior Principal and spent six years at Syndicated Equities, a Chicago based real estate investment management firm that focused on core, income producing real estate investments. At Syndicated, Mr. Lansing led the firm's Syndicated Access Fund business. In this position, he developed the investment strategy, oversaw fund formation and manager selection, led all capital raising and investor relations activities and monitored investment performance for two private equity real estate funds of funds. Prior to joining Syndicated Equities, Mr. Lansing was the Executive Vice President and General Counsel for Levy Restaurants and he practiced real estate law for many years.

Mr. Lansing is a Founding Member, Member of the Board of Directors and Program Committee Chair for Chicago Scholars (formerly known as College Bound). He earned his B.A. in Political Science with distinction from the University of Michigan and a J.D. from Loyola University of Chicago School of Law.
