Robert Cook
Mr. Cook is an Asset Manager for Harrison Street Real Estate Capital, LLC responsible for monitoring the investment performance, primarily of the firm's self storage and marina assets. Mr. Cook manages relationships with the firm's existing operating partners that encompass in excess of 25,000 self storage units (2.8 million square feet) in markets throughout the United States and he oversees the firm's boat storage portfolio consisting of approximately 3,000 slips located in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Iowa, and Texas. In total Mr. Cook is responsible for the management of 50 assets for Harrison Street. Furthermore, Mr. Cook assists in the acquisitions process by evaluating potential acquisitions and development opportunities.
Prior to Harrison Street Real Estate Capital, Mr. Cook was an Assistant Vice President at KBS Realty Advisors, a private real estate investment and management firm headquartered in Newport Beach, CA. Mr. Cook was part of a two person team that opened the central region office in Chicago in 2005 with the responsibility for all acquisition and disposition activity in the middle third of the country. In this role, he sourced and underwrote potential acquisitions and oversaw the due diligence process resulting in the closing of 29 transactions totaling $2B. Prior to joining KBS Mr. Cook was a Senior Portfolio Analyst at Lincoln Advisory Group, the investment management affiliate of Lincoln Property Company. Mr. Cook was the lead analyst directly involved in all asset and portfolio management aspects including acquisitions, dispositions, valuations, financing, budgeting and client reporting for a $350 million national industrial portfolio owned on behalf of a state pension fund.
Mr. Cook graduated with distinction from the University of Wisconsin - Madison with a Bachelor of Business Administration with a double major in Real Estate and Urban Land Economics and Finance, Investments & Banking.
