Ms. Nelson is Senior Vice President, Director of Asset Management for Harrison Street Real Estate Capital, LLC. She currently monitors the firms joint-venture relationships covering a number of specialty asset classes. In addition, Ms. Nelson supervises the asset management department portfolio managers for the Company's funds, Harrison Street Real Estate Partners I, LP & Harrison Street Real Estate Partner II, LP. These Funds will develop and/or acquire approximately $2.5 billion in real estate throughout North America. Ms. Nelson also personally handles a $275 million portfolio of over 17 assets throughout the US for the firm.

Prior to Harrison Street Real Estate Capital, Ms. Nelson was a Manager in the Asset Management department of Ventas, Inc. (NYSE: VTR), a leading healthcare real estate investment trust.  Ms. Nelson's portfolio consisted of medical office, senior housing, assisted living and skilled nursing facilities.  Before joining Ventas, she was a Senior Consultant for Ernst & Young Real Estate Advisory Services.  She was previously a Senior Underwriter at Raymond James Tax Credit Funds, Inc., where she underwrote investments in Section 42 Low Income Housing Tax Credit properties.

Ms. Nelson received a B.B.A. with a Major in Finance and a Minor in Economics from the University of South Florida and an M.S. in Real Estate and Urban Land Economics from the University of Wisconsin.
