Michael Gordon

Senior Vice President

Mr. Gordon is a Senior Vice President in the acquisitions group for Harrison Street Real Estate Capital and has been with the company since its inception. Mr. Gordon is responsible for managing all aspects of the transaction process for the group, as well as for sourcing investments and joint-venture relationships within the firm's areas of specialty real estate. During his tenure at Harrison Street, Mr. Gordon has sourced, closed or has under-contract transactions valued at more than $1.25 billion, including: 4,800 senior housing units, 1,000,000 square feet of medical office, 11,000 self storage units and 800 student housing beds. He has developed 13 joint-venture relationships.

Prior to joining the Sponsor, Mr. Gordon worked within the Transactions Group of Prudential Real Estate Investors ("PREI"). While at PREI, Mr. Gordon sourced, identified, and valued real estate acquisitions and joint venture development opportunities for the $23 billion real estate investment management/private equity group. In this capacity, Mr. Gordon performed comprehensive due diligence, analyzed property and partnership investment structures, coordinated and directed project teams, and collaborated with operating partners, including developers, investors, and managers. Responsible for authoring all of the Midwest region's internal investment memoranda, he presented opportunities to PREI's internal real estate investment committee, and his experience spans all property types, including office, industrial, multifamily, retail, mixed-use and hospitality. Over his career, Mr. Gordon has established relationships with 20+ real estate operators with expertise in senior housing, office, medical office, industrial, multifamily, retail, mixed-use, self-storage, student housing, manufactured home communities and hospitality.

Mr. Gordon graduated from the Emory University Goizueta Business School in 2001 with a Bachelor of Business Administration, and he is an active member of Urban Land Institute, Jewish United Fund, Young Real Estate Professionals, and Association of Emory Alumni. He is also a licensed real estate broker in both Illinois and California.
